The PEAK DMC Operations Conference last month showcased the expertise of our DMC staff.
Held across five days, the conference provided an opportunity for Operations Managers, Deputy Operations Managers and Operations Assistants to come together, learn about each other’s regions, problem solve and set goals for the year ahead.
Top insights from the 2020 conference:
1) The Introduction of ‘Regional Days’
For the 2020 conference program, the Global Operations Team introduced a ‘Regional Day’. The aim of the day was for the team to focus on the specific needs of their region, planning for the year ahead. Team led, these days were a great success and added huge value to all attendees.
2) Global Networking Opportunity
The PEAK DMC Operations Conference provides a global networking opportunity for all attending. Attendees were able to connect and learn from DMCs all over the world.
3) Conference Group Projects
This year, conference attendees were asked to take part in a group project. The projects tackled operational scenarios, with groups tasked to find a solution and present this to their peers at the end of week. The projects allowed attendees to build on a wide range of skills including teamwork, problem solving and communication.
4) Setting Measurable Goals for 2020
Before the conference end, all attendees had created new, measurable goals for their DMC. These goals will now be actioned throughout the year.
5) Policy Training
As leaders in health and safety, attendees to the conference were updated on all new PEAK DMC policies.
