Cambodia

From the steamy jungle temples of Angkor Wat to the world-class beaches of Koh Rong, Cambodia draws tourists to its ancient beauty, charm and sights.

PEAK knows adventure travel like the back of our hand. That’s why our clients seek out active journeys with us like mountain biking through rice paddies in the beautiful Cambodian countryside, or longer trips combined with overland itineraries in Vietnam, Thailand and Laos.

We offer fully escorted tours with our own fleet of brand new, specialised bikes that are maintained by an in-house team of qualified mechanics to ensure we meet global safety standards and keep clients safe at all times. All our leaders and staff go through rigorous safety and first aid training, and we have full public liability and operator insurance.

PEAK Cambodia’s 18 staff members, 40 group leaders, and 40 licensed guides are experienced in all different group sizes and situations, budget to boutique. We also specialise in educational tours for school and university groups, offering visits to minority groups, remote homestays, and an informative look at the Khmer Rouge genocide regime.

Many of our guides are survivors of the Khmer Rouge, and have been acknowledged by clients for their knowledge of local culture, history and for their inspirational stories from the period that have made their trip stand out.

It’s these finer details that truly make the difference in our product, and have gained recognition through many tourism industry awards, including Best Asean Tour Package at the ASEANTA Tourism Forum in 2009, SNV Netherlands Development Organisation Responsible Travel Award in 2010 and the Cambodian Government Department of Tourism Responsible Travel Award in 2011.

"Active adventures like mountain biking in Cambodia are our specialty."

Products

Adventure travellers are not satisfied with just seeing the sights or sitting on a beach and sipping cocktails. They seek adventure experiences that highlight natural, historic, religious, culinary and cultural assets that make a place distinct from any other, and are filled with plenty of local interaction. In Cambodia, travelling with one of our local guides provides clients with a real inside guide and knowledge. Whether that’s exploring the Museum of the Silver Pagoda and the Russian Market or admiring the elegant French architecture of Battambang, our guides are professionals when it comes to finding off-the-beaten track adventures. In addition, our South East Asia operations base has extensive connections with local suppliers, including those in remote regions, to guarantee flexibility and best value-for-money products that ensure financial safety and security.
Physically active and exciting activities that push the boundaries of novelty and challenge are at the forefront of the adventure travel market. Whether you’re clients are after a soft adventure (like walking the ruins of famous Angkor Wat or kayaking at Tonle Sap Lake), or something much harder (like trekking to Chambok waterfall or mountain-biking Indochina), PEAK DMC offers low-risk, low effort access to these kinds of trips. Our reputation is built on security and safety, with full public liability and operator insurance and excellent strategies in place to keep clients safe at all times. All of our leaders are trained in first aid, and we have detailed crisis, emergency and evacuation plans in place. As global adventure specialists we can deliver complete adventure experiences – high-altitude trekking, climbing, rafting, cycling, sailing, sea kayaking, diving – accomplishing seemingly difficult logistical feats every time.
Coming eye to eye with the world’s most epic wildlife consistently tops the tourism charts as the ultimate travel experiences of all times. With national parks, hikes and nature to explore, Cambodia offers plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with the region’s wildlife. From wild rivers and waterfalls to remote eco-lodges and village stays; the bat caves of Battambang and endangered Irrawaddy dolphin visits – you will not be disappointed. PEAK DMC are perfectly placed to offer your clients this kind of adventure. We’re world leaders when it comes to global tourism sustainability. Our tour leaders receive intensive on-the-ground training to ensure your clients safety. We have in-house maintenance workshops to ensure that we maintain first-class vessel service and safety standards to keep clients safe, no matter where they are.
Got a group of experienced travellers seeking a more out-there adventure? PEAK DMC offers you low-risk, low effort access to some of the world’s most spectacular, mysterious and unusual adventure destinations. Cambodia exudes the exotic. Try the remote temple ruins of Koh Ker, Preah Vihear and Banteay Chhmar, for example, or the animism practices of ethnic minorities in the remote jungle of the Mondulkiri and Ratanakiri provinces. With a local team on the ground, accessing remote areas of the local region is easy with PEAK. It also means we are ideally positioned for keeping on top of the latest hot spots, trends and any information that will ensure the safety of your clients. We operate under an umbrella of full public liability and operator insurance, and our long-established management team is the best in the business for their knowledge and experience. We deliver trust, reliability and security to our partners. If you want to stand out from the adventure crowd, then these products are innovative, intelligent and fun, as well as professionally organised, consistent and safe.
The trickiest bit of travel is negotiating all the ins and outs and finer details. Yet, your success and reputation with your clients will depend on how well these things are thought out, planned and executed. That’s where PEAK DMC’s South East Asia management team comes in. Our operations team has a wealth of experience across Cambodia and Indochina and can connect the dots for you: arranging arrival packages, meeting and greeting, providing leader services, transfers, tuk-tuks, day trips, FIT and more. A team of this high calibre takes time to build, but your business can access this on-the-ground experience through our long established and reliable travel management services. Our team complies with our global audit and assessment procedures, which include client satisfaction, financial stability and liability insurance, to ensure that they meet the demands of any client, product or group size, small to large, budget to boutique. These core philosophies have helped PEAK DMC to become a market leader in ground services for adventure travellers across the globe.
Looking to create an out-of-this-world itinerary that will suit specific needs and wow your clients? A scenic helicopter flight? Khmer cooking classes, massage and spa services? Or a gibbon-style zip lining and canopy walk? Creativity, flexibility and attention to detail are essential in creating successful bespoke itineraries, whether that involves action or relaxation; ground services or cultural experiences; luxury digs or budget accommodation. We take that responsibility very seriously. We have over 30 years experience pulling together thoughtful itinerary design, experienced tour leaders, carefully selected accommodation and transport and lively adventure experiences that will all combine to create that perfect product and create an experience that will truly last a lifetime. That’s why our products have been acknowledged and recognised through National Geographic and Tour Radar as “trips of a lifetime”. And our qualified and engaging local leaders have been recognised multiple times as the best in their industry with unparalleled insider access to genuine experiences that deliver on the iconic destinations, but also on regional and local delights.
